Tour TMWA’s Chalk Bluff Water Treatment Plant
See What it Takes to Deliver High-Quality Water to Your Tap
Why is Truckee Meadows Water Authority’s (TMWA) water quality among the best in the country? Experience it for yourself and tour TMWA’s Chalk Bluff Water Treatment Plant on Friday, September 17. Though Lake Tahoe, our primary water source, supplies us with an excellent source of high-quality water, it takes a team of highly skilled engineers, scientists and operators to provide you with clean, safe drinking water. Our expert staff will explain the water treatment and distribution processes, as well as discuss current challenges and answer your questions.
The tour is open to all TMWA customers and participants must be at least 18 years of age.
Please call 834-8290 by Friday, September 10 to reserve your spot on one of three tours at 8 a.m., 11 a.m. or 2 p.m. Each tour is limited to 20 people. Please note: this is a lengthy walking tour and will involve climbing a significant number of stairs
and uneven surfaces.
