SUMMARY:From Tahoe to the Tap – Understanding Your Drinking Water
DESCRIPTION:Join as at TMWA’s Glendale Water Treatment Plant and learn how we are able to produce enough high-quality water to satisfy the community’s needs—whether it be 40 million gallons on a cold winter day\, or 140 million in the heat of the summer! The plant tour/workshop is scheduled for Wednesday\, May 9th from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. TMWA’s water quality experts will present the rigorous regulations\, testing and treatment procedures your water goes through prior to reaching your tap. This workshop includes a tour of the Glendale Water Treatment Plant and water quality labs where staff will demonstrate water quality testing and explain the treatment and distribution process\, as well as answer your questions. \nThe workshop will take place at the Glendale Water Treatment Plant at 1205 S. 21st Street in Sparks. It is free and open to TMWA customers. Space is limited\, so please RSVP by emailing rsvp@tmwa.com or call 834-8290. \nAttendees must be a minimum of 10 years of age. \n
