Mr. Dasmann was named Security, Emergency, and Safety Manager in July of 2024. He joined TMWA as a Water Treatment & Distribution Operator Apprentice in September of 2015. After completing this apprenticeship, Dasmann served as a journeyman Treatment & Distribution Water Plant Operator for an additional two years. During this time, he revamped the T&D Operator apprenticeship (accepted by the state in 2018) and was responsible for all new Operator apprentice progression.
In September 2019, Dasmann was selected as the utilities Emergency Management Administrator. Over the next year, he established a robust emergency management program and ensured full compliance with the 2018 Americas Water Infrastructure Act (AWIA). In late 2020, Dasmann was provided the opportunity to create a security program for the utility. After developing and implementing a full security management program, establishing a Security Operations Center, and hiring a team of security professionals, his title was expanded to Emergency Management and Security Supervisor in 2022.
Before joining Truckee Meadows Water Authority, Dasmann spent 20 years in the U.S Army eventually serving as a Warrant Officer in the Aviation branch. He currently holds a Nevada Emergency Preparedness Association (NEPA) NVEM-A certification, has completed the FEMA Basic Academy, and holds Nevada Grade 3 full certifications in both treatment and distribution.
