Traffic Advisory and Customer Alert for May 1
Reno, NV Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) crews are on scene and responding to a water main break caused by an accidental dig–in by a contractor at Prater Way and Stanford Way in Sparks. TMWA crews are working to isolate the main for repairs. Water service and traffic have been impacted.
Traffic: The traffic in the area may be impacted by the repair work. Motorists are asked to observe any temporary detours and traffic control that may be in place.
Water service: TMWA currently has customers out of water and additional customers may be impacted. Customers may be experiencing discolored water in the vicinity of the main break.
TMWA does not currently have an estimate of when repairs will be completed. Updates will be provided as crews learn more.
