Production Well Rehabilitation Project – Spanish Springs Valley – Federally Funded

This is an informational bulletin about Truckee Meadows Water Authority’s (TMWA’s) upcoming:

PRODUCTION WELL REHABILITATION PROJECT

SPANISH SPRINGS VALLEY – FEDERALLY FUNDED

Bureau of Reclamation Assistance Agreement No.:  R16AP00140

 

TMWA and the United States Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) through Section 9504(a) of the Secure Water Act, Subtitle F of Title IX of the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009, Public Law 111-11 (42 United States Code (10364) (the “Act”) have entered into a cooperative financial loan assistance arrangement for the inspection, rehabilitation and testing of TMWA’s three (3) production wells, referred to as TMWA’s Production Well Rehabilitation Project Spanish Springs Valley – Federally Funded.

The project scope includes:

The inspection, rehabilitation, and testing three (3) water production wells.  The successful bidder will perform and complete the following work: inspect and service motors and pumps, rehabilitate each well, replace existing pump columns with new epoxy-coated and lined pump columns, and equip and assist in recharge and production testing. The three (3) project sites are located in Sparks, Washoe County, Nevada.

The Invitation to Bid, will be advertised in the Reno Gazette Journal and posted to TMWA’s website on Friday, August 25, 2017, and a second publication will advertise on September 1, 2017.
