TMWA will temporarily shut off water service to customers in part of the Cranbrook neighborhood on Thursday, March 26, while crews complete repairs and system improvements designed to improve long-term service reliability. The outage is expected to affect customers in the area shown on the project map (View Map).
The temporary shutdown is expected to begin at 8 a.m. and may last until approximately 8 p.m. While crews will work as quickly and safely as possible, customers in the affected area should plan to be without water for much of the day.
What customers should do before the outage
- Set aside water for drinking and cooking.
- Fill a bathtub or other container with water to help with toilet flushing.
- If your home has a hot water recirculation pump, unplug it or switch it to the “off” position before the shutdown.
When water service returns
Once work is complete, water pressure will be restored to homes in the affected area. Before service is restored, customers should make sure water valves and indoor fixtures are shut off to help prevent flooding or other water-related issues when pressure returns.
TMWA apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates customers’ patience while this work is completed. As noted in the customer notice, one gallon of water is being provided to households affected by the outage.
