Water Main Break in Lemmon Valley:
Crews Are on Scene
(RENO, Nev.) Truckee Meadows Water Authority crews are on scene and responding to a 30” water main break in Lemmon Valley. “The break has been isolated,” said Andy Gebhardt, TMWA’s director of distribution services. “Water flow to the broken main is shut down. We are assessing the damage, and once the water recedes we will begin repair as quickly as possible.”
All TMWA customers in the affected area have water service. “There are sufficient redundancies built into our system for such circumstances,” Gebhardt added.
Until the repair is complete, Matterhorn Drive is closed between Fir Drive and Tupelo Street. Commuters are asked to avoid the area and follow detour signage.
TMWA will provide updates as crews learn more.
