Andy Gebhardt – Director, Distribution Maintenance & Generation.  Mr. Gebhardt was named Director, Distribution Maintenance & Generation in February, 2022. He is responsible for managing the maintenance of the Water System’s distribution facilities and the Authority’s hydroelectric generation operation and maintenance activities. Mr. Gebhardt has worked for the Authority for over 30 years, starting as a Meter Reader in 1987.  In February of 1992, he began working in the water department as an Assistant Water Plant Operator, eventually elevating to the position of Working Foreman.   In February of 2002, he started working in the Customer Service field as a Conservation Administrator.  In the following years, he has been promoted from Administrator to Supervisor to Manager to Director, all in the Customer Service Field.  In January of 2017, Mr. Gebhardt took over the role of Director of Operations and Water Quality, where he oversaw all operations of the water treatment plants and distribution facilities for the utility as well as directing the operation of TMWA’s State Certified Water Quality laboratory which is responsible for sampling to maintain compliance with all existing water quality regulations set forth by the EPA.  In addition, Mr. Gebhardt oversees all customer outreach, public relations, advertising and marketing for the utility.  Mr. Gebhardt holds the highest level of State water certifications (Grade IV) in both treatment and distribution.
