This ornamental grass bears seed heads that persist on the plant long into winter. It can grow 2-6 ft. tall depending on variety, so make sure to check the label for mature height at the nursery. Usually the width of the clump is relative to the height; expect it to grow 2-4 ft. wide. Grow in full sun to partial shade, any soil except salty and water twice-a-week. Shear to the ground annually in fall or spring.
