TMWA’s Kara Steeland Appointed to Northern Nevada Water Planning Commission

TMWA hydrologist Kara Steeland has been appointed as the TMWA representative on the Northern Nevada Water Planning Commission (NNWPC). The NNWPC functions as a technical advisory panel to the Western Regional Water Commission (WRWC) and is responsible for developing a Comprehensive Regional Water Management Plan and recommending it to the WRWC for adoption. Kara joined TMWA in 2016 and led efforts in developing TMWA’s “2020-2040 Water Resource Plan;” an experience that makes her eminently suited for her role with the NNWPC.
